The NOBGFC Board of Director's is sorry to announce that the 39th Annual Invitational Billfish Tournament must be postponed due to the BP oil spill in the Gulf. We are targeting potential dates of July 16 - 17, July 23 - 24, or August 20 - 21, but even these might be ambitious. We will keep club members updated on schedule changes via the website, emails, or mail.

The New Orleans Big Game Fishing Club is a private club whose members share a passion for fishing the waters in the northern Gulf of Mexico in search of many species of billfish, tuna, wahoo, and dolphin. The NOBGFC prides itself in one of the highest catch and release ratios of similar such clubs, and our efforts over many years have been widely recognized in conservation circles for the collection of very valuable scientific data on many of these highly migratory species, especially regarding blue and white marlin.

Our Club members have enjoyed a rich 40 year history of fishing, fun, and friendships and we look forward to many more years of fish tales and fun beyond the waters of South Pass.

2009 Top 10 Boat Points

The New Orleans Big Game Fishing Club congratulates the Owners and Captains for 2009 Top 10 Boat Points. Tag and release and line bonus points are awarded for the eligible billfish and the top three heaviest Dolphin, Yellow Fin Tuna, and Wahoo caught aboard member vessels during club sponsored events.
